Mission & Vision

Renfrew County United Way (RCUW) is a community of caring donors and energetic volunteers in eastern Ontario who work year-round to raise funds to achieve the corporation’s mission. The United Way is committed to playing a leadership role in bringing the community together to deal with high priority issues so that positive social change can take place.
Our Mission
"We will identify and address the needs of our community by organizing the resources of community members to help one another.”
As a not-for-profit, registered charitable organization, RCUW depends on the on-going generosity and involvement of many people, organizations and businesses within the 23 municipal jurisdictions it serves. Without their continued support, there would be no way the United Way could succeed.

RCUW’s vision also reflects its philosophy about the need to work with community members to build the capacity of communities to address the often complex issues facing people. These issues will require expertise and experience from a variety of community stakeholders, including government, business, labour, social agencies and representatives from other sectors.

Our Vision
“We shall be a dynamic, caring organization providing for the needs of the community through involvement, collaboration, innovation and financial support.”
